BitPay Payment Integration

The main objective of this integration is to provide customers with a cryptocurrency payment option in the Odoo Website.

The integration allows businesses to:

• Accept cryptocurrency payments through BitPay.
• Allow customers to pay using supported cryptocurrencies.
• Redirect customers to BitPay’s secure hosted payment page.
• Support payments through compatible cryptocurrency wallets.
• Automatically update payment status in Odoo.
• Automatically confirm the related Sales Order after successful payment.
• Redirect customers back to the Odoo order/payment status page.

Customers can pay for their website orders using cryptocurrencies supported by the configured BitPay account.

Examples include:

• Bitcoin
• Ethereum
• Other supported cryptocurrencies

The cryptocurrencies available to customers depend on BitPay’s current supported payment options and the merchant account configuration.

After selecting BitPay during checkout, the customer is redirected from Odoo to the BitPay hosted payment page.

The customer completes the cryptocurrency payment on the BitPay platform rather than entering cryptocurrency payment details directly into Odoo.

Customers can use supported cryptocurrency wallets or payment options available through BitPay.

Depending on the payment options currently supported by BitPay, customers may be able to use wallets such as:

• Coinbase
• MetaMask
• Trust Wallet
• Other supported wallets

Once a payment is processed, BitPay sends the payment status to Odoo.

Odoo updates the corresponding payment transaction based on the received payment status.

When the cryptocurrency payment is successfully confirmed, the related Odoo Sales Order is automatically updated/confirmed according to the configured payment workflow.

After completing or cancelling the BitPay payment process, the customer is redirected back to the Odoo website.
