Cargus Connector Shipping

• Connect their Cargus account using API credentials.

• The module authenticates with Cargus using a subscription key together with the account username and password to obtain a session token.
• Users configure their credentials once in Odoo; the module handles requesting and reusing the token for subsequent API calls.

• The module retrieves live shipping costs from Cargus based on parcel weight, number of envelopes, destination county/locality and selected service.
• The returned price can be used to quote the customer or validate shipping charges before the order is confirmed.

• The module calls the Cargus Awbs service to create a new AWB for a delivery order, generating the tracking number and shipping label.
• Supports specifying the shipment payer (sender or recipient), parcel and envelope counts and declared value.
• The generated AWB number is stored on the related Odoo delivery order for reference.

• Once an AWB is created, the module can retrieve status updates from Cargus and reflect them on the Odoo delivery order.
• This gives visibility into shipment progress without needing to check the Cargus portal separately.

An AWB can be cancelled directly from Odoo if a shipment is no longer required, before it is picked up by Cargus.

• Cargus requires shipments to reference its own internal county and locality codes rather than free-text addresses.
• The module maps the state and city entered on the Odoo delivery address to the corresponding Cargus location codes.

• The module can retrieve the list of available Ship & Go partner locations from Cargus.
• This allows a shipment to be routed through a pickup or drop off point instead of a direct courier collection.

• Cargus session tokens are valid for a limited time.
• The module tracks the token's expiry and automatically re-authenticates when it expires, so users are not required to log in again for every request.

• Cargus is registered as a delivery method within Odoo's standard Inventory/Sales delivery carrier setup.
• Users select Cargus as the carrier on a sale order or delivery order and the shipment actions (rate, AWB, tracking, cancellation) are available from that record.
