Shopify Odoo Connector

The Shopify Odoo Connector integrates Odoo 19 with Shopify to synchronize business data between the ERP and e-commerce platforms. The integration supports product, product variant, inventory, customer, and order synchronization, while reducing the need for repetitive manual updates.

In addition to the standard synchronization workflow, the connector provides advanced capabilities such as custom payment-term synchronization, controlled sales-channel publishing, automatic product metafield population, and promotion-based price management with expiry handling.

Products can be synchronized between Odoo and Shopify in both directions, allowing supported product information to be created or updated across the connected systems. Product attributes, variants, variant structures, SKUs, options, and variant-level prices are also synchronized so that the product catalog remains aligned between both platforms. This reduces duplicate data entry and helps maintain consistent product information without requiring separate manual updates in Odoo and Shopify.

Inventory quantities are synchronized between Odoo and Shopify for products and their variants. Changes made in Odoo, such as receipts, deliveries, or stock adjustments, can be reflected in Shopify, while applicable inventory changes originating in Shopify can also be updated in Odoo. This helps maintain consistent stock availability across the ERP and e-commerce platforms.

Customer information can be synchronized between Odoo and Shopify so that relevant customer details remain available across both systems. During synchronization, the connector checks for existing matching customers and reuses the existing record where applicable, helping prevent unnecessary duplicate customer creation and keeping customer information organized.

Orders created in Shopify can be imported into Odoo with the supported customer, order-line, pricing, and related order information required for further processing. Supported orders originating in Odoo can also be exported to Shopify when required by the configured workflow. This allows order data to move between the two platforms without requiring users to recreate the same order manually.

The connector uses Shopify webhooks to receive notifications for supported events and initiate the corresponding synchronization process. This allows changes to be processed automatically instead of relying entirely on manual synchronization.

Odoo provides flexible payment-term configuration, allowing businesses to define payment schedules according to their requirements. The connector extends the payment integration logic to support the synchronization of applicable custom payment terms with Shopify, allowing non-standard payment configurations to be handled without manually recreating them.

Supported products, customers, orders, and other configured records can be synchronized automatically in the background. This reduces repetitive manual operations and allows synchronization to become part of the normal business workflow.

The connector provides control over the Shopify sales channels to which synchronized products are published. Instead of relying only on the default publishing configuration, the required sales channels can be selected according to the configured business requirements.

When a product is synchronized with Shopify, the connector can populate the configured Shopify metafields using the corresponding product information from Odoo. This allows additional structured product information to be transferred automatically without requiring manual entry in Shopify.

Promotional pricing configured in Odoo can be synchronized with Shopify together with its defined validity period. While the promotion is active, the applicable discounted price is reflected in Shopify with the original price maintained as the comparison price; after the promotion expires, the product price is restored to the normal configured price.
