Promotion, product, price, and place are crucial parts of social marketing. The Social Marketing module of Odoo aids in planning, monitoring, and boosting customer support. It also helps to reach the audience fast in less time. Live chat requests, campaigns, and push notifications are other features of this module.

This blog will discuss the fundamentals of Social Marketing in the Odoo Module.

We can understand the primary usage of Social Marketing in the Odoo 15 version. This module helps to raise your sales and purchases in business. Unique offers and products attract customers on social media. The home dashboard of Odoo contains the Social Marketing module. It maintains the campaigns, posts, and visitors on a social media platform.


Basic Menus in Social Marketing Page

The dashboard of the Social Marketing page depicts several menus like Feed, Posts, Campaigns, Visitors, and Configuration. These are the main features of the Odoo module. The preview page shows without any stream. We can add a social media account using the tools in that phase. The detailed usage of menus depicts below.


Feed menus assist in adding a stream, new post, and synchronizing.

Add a Stream

The first icon seen on the top left side is Add a stream. We can link a social media account to add a stream.


The social media are Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. An individual should have an active subscription to use this stream. We want to enable the demo mode and social media option in the configuration menu to link the accounts to access the report.

The demo data tested the social module. We can save the changes after enabling the accounts. It helps to show the posts of a firm on the main page. The posts on all social media platforms are viewable here. It also assists in knowing about overall followers, viewers, and insights. Audiences can choose the comment sections and links to websites. Moreover, all the posts can see through the 'post' option in the upper part of the page. Access to social media enriches by adding a stream tab.

New Post

The second button near to Add a stream is New Post. It allows you to add a unique post on social media, and this option provides to depict campaigns, events, and upcoming seminars pages. The feed page contains options like your post and pushes notifications. We can add a company name, standing on the reports, type messages, and mention the campaign name.

Additionally, there is an option to attach images and send the campaign now or later. The push notification option assists in adding title notification, target URL, icon image and enables local time. You can set the subscription after allowing the local time. We must save the changes after developing a post.


Another method is to select the social post from the post menu in the upper tab. The create option is secure to post according to customers' needs. We must save the changes after developing a post.


We can create a social post using the Posts menu in the module. By clicking on the Create option, you can develop a new post. The new post page contains details of the company, push notifications, add a message and assist in attaching images. All these changes must save after creating the post.



The calendar option is viewable on the Social Post page. Odoo module helps to schedule the events through the calendar menu.


The updates and upcoming events save into this calendar, and it helps manage posts efficiently. It denotes the post overview and does smooth marketing.

Pivot Table

The pivot table is viewable in the right corner near the calendar. It aids in measuring and inserting in a spreadsheet. We can count the number of posts through the 'measure' option. Downloading and expansion of data are also available in that process.


List View

The top right corner of the social post page contains a three dots option. It is known as ListView. This page includes three tools like filters, Group by, and favorites.


The Filter option assists in adding a custom Filter, and Group By helps to apply calendar dates and add custom groups. The favorites option assists in importing records, saving a current search, and inserting a link in the spreadsheet.


We can create campaigns using the Create option in the Campaigns menu.

You can add the Campaign Name, Responsible person, and Tag with anyone. The campaign module helps schedule, design, and send a post regarding any event. 


The schedule button provides access to sending a social post and a notification. This page also gives the information of a responsible person, campaign name, and tags. We can view the past Mailings regarding the campaigns. The Mailing tab shows the Subject, Sent Date, Status, Delivered, Opened, Rejected, and Bounced details of an email. You can also add the Custom Field of a new mail into the Mailings tab.



We can track the account by using the Visitors menu, and it shows the views on the last page, visits, and a person's name. You can email or SMS the particular person on the Visitors page.


The detailed view of the person is viewed by clicking on their name. It consists of personal details, products, website links, and the active status of visitors. The page view history is viewable in this section.


The Configuration menu can manage social media, accounts, and streams. The image denotes below.


Social media inside the configuration menu ensures to link your social media accounts. Another sub-menu is social accounts, and it pushes notifications in social media. The medium and company name specify on that page. This field shows all Social Accounts in the Social Networking module. The keywords, page posts, and tags are visible in the social stream.


Odoo module gives preference for customers' needs for business purposes. The outstanding social marketing module shares updates about products. This module becomes attractive to manage whole social media accounts. The audience always updates with the latest information on social media. We can handle the posts through the social media channels of Odoo. It also gives an overview of our posts. Social marketing plays a significant role in generating sales.
