What is the batch transfer? It can be termed as the process of moving a group of products from one place to another. A batch means the products or quantity of products planned to be manufactured. Batch transfer means the shifting of a whole batch to another place for different purposes.
The batch transfer is the option used to transfer products from one warehouse to another. This feature helps a business to grow effectively. Batch transfer with the help of barcode eases the operations avoiding complicated transfer procedures.
Odoo supports the easy movement of a set of or a batch of products from one warehouse to another or one work center to another. This can be done efficiently if you are using Odoo Barcode.
In this blog, we can take a look at how Odoo 14 Barcode helps in the batch transfer of products.
Batch transfer can be done directly from the inventory module. For this, you have to first install the Odoo Inventory Module.
The go-to Operations> batch transfer
Then the user will get a window as given below
A new batch transfer can be created with ease by clicking the Create Button.
After filling up the details, the user will have to save the process. You will also get an option to validate the batch transfer.
On clicking on the validate tab the batch transfer gets validated.
In the same way the user can make use of the Barcode feature to complete the batch transfer. For this install Odoo Barcode.
Then open the module. You get a window as given below
Here, you can find batch transfer as the third option. If you want to use Barcode to complete batch transfer click on the tab.
Click the create batch transfer button. You can also find already created batch transfers here. It is to be noted that the batch transfer created using Inventory and barcode modules will be listed here. The user on clicking creates the user will get the above-given window.
The user can create batch transfer in Delivery Order and in receipts. Then, click the confirm button.
After choosing the options click Confirm. Here we can select the delivery order option. As I have clicked on it I have got all delivery orders already created by me.
Here, I can select the order or orders I want.
Here, I got a confirm button at the bottom. As I have clicked the button I got the below-given image.
Here I got the products, number, and option to add products. If you want to increase the number of products use the +1 button. IF you want to add products then use the Add product tab.
You can also find the Validate button. This validate button can be used to complete the process. Once the number matches the product number the validate button turns green.
On clicking the validate button you can complete the batch transfer process.
This is how we can use Odoo Barcode to batch transfer facility. Here, we have used the barcode scanning process to complete the batch transfer.
