Periodic Digest Emails
Periodic digest Emails are high-level views of how your business operates that are
provided to your organization regularly via email. The Odoo framework can send out
digest emails on a regular basis. We can send an email containing information about
business KPIs using digest emails.
It can be configured under settings > Statistics > Digest Email
The field to insert the digest email records will appear after the Boolean field
has been enabled. The default one made by Odoo will be displayed, and it may be
modified by clicking on the hyperlink button, or new records can be created by clicking
on the 'Configure Digest Emails' button. It will take you to the list of records
that are displayed there, and by clicking on the button ‘create’ new form view for
creating the record will appear.
Given below is a default template created by Odoo. This will send an email on a
daily basis by considering the mentioned specifications in the record.
In the header, there are a few buttons;
- Unsubscribes Me: It will unsubscribe this mailing
- Deactivate for Everyone: This template will be disabled for
everyone
- Send Now: Send an email to the subscribed users
There are two basic fields that determine the nature of the email, that is;
- Periodicity: periods that will trigger the email. It can be daily,
weekly, monthly, or yearly by default
- Next Send Date: The date on which the email will be sent next
The page ‘KPIs’ contains the general information regarding each module. This information
can be included or excluded based on the need.
On the 'Recipients' page, we may list the people who should receive the digest email.
Digest Email is enabled by default, and the primary template is Your Odoo Periodic
Digest, which covers all KPI metrics across your Odoo database and is delivered
daily to administrators.
