How to Configure Job Positions in Odoo 18

In Odoo 18, one of the essential aspects of setting up your HR and hiring processes is creating job positions in the Recruitment module. You can designate departments, describe the roles you are hiring for, create job descriptions, and monitor applicants from the first point of contact to the final recruitment with this tool. You can monitor the recruitment process, streamline candidate management, and ensure that every vacancy is appropriately managed by grouping job listings within the Recruitment module. The user-friendly design of Odoo 18 makes it simple to set up and modify job roles to fit the specific demands and hiring objectives of your business. This blog explains how to configure job positions in the Odoo 18 Recruitment module.

Configure Job Positions:

In the Recruitment module, the dashboard displays all job positions, whether published or unpublished, in kanban card view. When you click on a specific job position, it displays details about the position's name and the number of applicants, as shown below:

When you click on a particular job position, we can see that there are no new applications, and we can see the stages of the recruitment process.

To create a new job position, click on the New button at the top of the screen as shown below:

A new pop-up screen appeared there, where you can select a job position as Sales Manager and then set up an email and click on Create, as shown below:

The newly created Sales Manager job position is visible on the dashboard. Then click on the three-dot icon of the newly created job position and select Configuration as shown below:

A configuration page will appear, where you can fill in the details of the newly created job positions. In the Recruitment tab, fill in the Department option as Management/Sales and the Industry option as Administrative/Utilities. In the Interview Form option, select the Recruitment Form. You can also set Employment Type, Salary Range, Expected Skills, Interviewers, Recruiter, etc, as shown below:

Then go through the internal link of the Recruitment Form, and you can also create a new recruitment form there. In the Question tab, types of interview questions are provided, and you can also create new ones.

Under the Options tab, you can customize the settings and access of the form.

The Description tab helps to give an introductory content for the form. The End Message tab displays a message for the participant after they submit their form. Then click on the Share button.

A new pop-up screen appeared, allowing you to share the form by selecting existing recipients and clicking on the Send button as shown below:

In the Job Summary tab, you can add a description of the job position.

In the Job Boards tab, you can add where and how the job is published.

In the Application Info tab, you can see the processing details of the job position.

Then enable Published and click on the Go to Website as shown below:

On the Website, you can click on Apply Now to apply for the job position as shown below:

Here, you can see the Job Application Form. The right side of the screen shows the job description. Thus, you can create a job position in the Odoo 18 Recruitment module.
