The website module will now open an eCommerce dashboard. Here we can view the qualitative data of our online sales via the eCommerce website. The parameters of the analytical report is customizable.

Products 
eCommerce product categories
We can configure the eCommerce products into various categories from the configuration in the Website module. 
Website > Configuration > Products > eCommerce categories.

We can create various categories in the configuration and this would let the products on the eCommerce site be displayed within these categories. We can name the category, a parent category if needed, and then the website for the category. After configuring the categories we can create products under these categories.

Create products
We can create the from the products menu in the website module.

After configuring the product details like name, type, price, and so on, we can move to the eCommerce tab. The eCommerce tab will have fields to configure the product for its online sales.

We can choose the website, select the product category for categorization in the website and also add alternative or accessory products in the configuration. We must note that the product category in the general information is different from the eCommerce category. The general information will be used for other inventory and supply chain activities. The category in eCommerce is limited to the website.
The alternative products will be suggested to the website visitors to consider if they have an interest in a particular product.

We can also add more product media, which too will be displayed on the eCommerce site. 
Variants
We can also create product variants from the products menu. This will allow the customer to choose from the available option of the same product.

We can create Attributes from configuration and these attributes can be used to create product variants. We can add related products to each attribute created and we can then create multiple variants of the same product.

We can enhance our product engagement in the website with various tools like wishlist, optional product and variants, compare, and so on.

Ecommerce orders 
The orders made via our website will be displayed in the orders menu. We can view the order details and invoice the same to the customer.

We can also schedule the next activity for the order, in case we have to send a customer satisfaction form, product review form, and so on.

Abandoned cart 
This will help us remind the customer of items they have left behind in their cart. The follow-up mail and trigger can be set to allow the customer to send an automated mail.

Template and time are configured in the settings under order follow-up. 
Reporting
We can also find reports on our online sales from the reporting tab. We can customize the parameters and generate a report as excel sheets when needed.
