Users can use the Odoo 19 Point of Sale Module in both Online and Offline. This ensures smooth sales performance even if the internet connection is interrupted. This feature is commonly performed by a feature known as ‘Rescue Session.’
If your internet connection suddenly goes down while you’re taking orders, Odoo will automatically sync all the data once the connection is restored, ensuring your sales process continues smoothly. Even if you accidentally close a session while working online, the ‘Rescue Session’ feature helps recover your work. This feature restores data from the closed session so that no information is lost. When the internet connection is lost, Odoo 19 temporarily stores session data in your browser’s cache. Once you reconnect, you can click the synchronization icon, and Odoo will create a rescue session to replace the one that was closed. From the backend, you can see this rescue session listed as a new session with a unique session ID.
