In this chapter, we discuss creating models and adding fields, defining compute methods, creating a new app, adding a new button, adding a smart button, and adding filters and a status bar. With the help of the studio, it is easy to add a new model (table) and field (column) to the database. The Odoo button is used to call a method, an action, or a workflow. The smart button provides a view of the related documents. Users can get the related document views for the corresponding record. If the users have a large amount of data, it is necessary to use a filter, that is more user-friendly. The user can add filters based on their preferences, and they can also set a default filter. The status bar gives the status of each record. That is very helpful for functional operations.
