Scrap Management
Scrap management is very essential in business operations. In Odoo, you will get a specialized field to manage scrap separately. By adding a product into scrap, the item will be removed from the company stock. You can find the platform for scrap management under the Operations menu of the module.
This platform will display the Reference number, Date, Product, Quantity, Unit of Measure, Company, and Status of all scrap orders created in the Inventory module.
Creating a new scrap order can be easily done by clicking on the ‘Create’ button given in the window.
In the new scrap order creation window, you can add the Product Name, Quantity, Source Document, and Company name in the specified fields. By clicking on the Save button, you will get a draft form of the scrap order. In order to validate the newly created scrap order, you are allowed to click on the ‘Validate’ button from the same window.
You can also create scrap orders from various inventory operations such as Delivery Orders, Receipts, Internal Transfers, POS Orders, Manufacturing, etc. For example, the image given below is a confirmed receipt of a particular product.
You will be able to see the option ‘Scrap’ in this platform which can be used to create scrap orders for this particular product. By doing so the product will be moved from the stock to scrap location.
