6. Reporting and Analytics
Finally, the Reporting menu provides robust analytical tools for
evaluating time off, including “by Employee," "by Type,” and
“Balance,” with data presented in Graph, Pivot, and Calendar views.
Users can customize reports using filters such as employee status,
department, and year. These tools enable organizations to
effectively monitor leave patterns, ensuring efficient leave
management and strategic planning.
6.1 Time-Off Analysis by Employee
The report provides detailed employee leave reports, categorized by
type, duration, and status, accessible in Pivot, Graph, and Calendar
views.
In the Graph view itself, you have the option of selecting a bar,
pie, or line graph. Line and bar graphs can be rearranged in both
ascending and descending order. The possible filers for the reports
are To Approve, Need Second Approval, Approved Time Off, My Time
Off, My Team, My Department, Active Employee, Current Year, Start
Date, Active Time Off, Archived Time Off, and Cancelled Time Off.
Employee, Type, Status, Company, and Start Date are some ways to
group the reports.
6.2 Time-Off Analysis by Type
Analyze time-off trends by leave categories using filters and
measures like duration and request count. These tools enable HR
teams to identify patterns and make informed decisions for more
effective resource allocation. The below screenshot shows the
graphical representation of the Time-Off analysis “by Type.”
The user may see this platform in both the List view and Pivot view.
In the List view, the following information is displayed: Employee,
Days, Request Type, Start and End Dates, Status, and Description as
illustrated in the screenshot below.
6.3 Time Off Analysis by Balance
The Time Off Analysis by “Balance" feature in Odoo 18 provides a
comprehensive overview of employees' leave balances, enabling
real-time tracking, trend analysis, and policy compliance. It
supports workforce planning, customizable reporting, and integration
with payroll. This tool ensures efficient leave management,
operational continuity, and adherence to HR policies.
This dashboard offers a comprehensive summary of employee leaves
based on various Time Off Types, leaves taken, and leaves still
waiting.
The Odoo 18 Time Off module integrates all aspects of leave
management into a streamlined platform, simplifying allocation,
request approval, and reporting processes for both employees and HR
managers.
