2. Managers Menu
In Odoo 18, within the Approvals module, the 'Manager' menu is
intended for users with managerial or administrative rights who need
to oversee and manage approval requests across the organization.
This menu provides access to all requests submitted by employees,
not just those directly assigned to the manager, in two sections
named ‘Approvals to Review’ and ‘All Approvals.’
1. Approvals to Review
The ‘Approvals to Review’ window shows all approvals that are
awaiting approval or pending review. They are arranged in a
dashboard layout with information like the Approval Subject, Request
Owner, Category, Request Start Date, and Request Status, as seen in
the screenshot below.
This window makes it simple for managers to monitor the status of all
approval requests, intervene if necessary, and ensure that processes
are moving smoothly. They can review pending, approved, and refused
requests, reassign approvers, and even validate or refuse requests
themselves if needed.
2. All Approvals
The 'All Approvals’' view helps managers maintain control over
approval workflows and ensures compliance with internal policies.
This centralized view typically displays important fields such as
the Approval Subject, Request Owner, Category, Request Start,
Request To and Request Status, as shown in the
screenshot below.
