Secure entries
The Secure Journal Entries feature in Odoo 19 Accounting prohibits users from altering published journal entries in order to preserve data integrity and compliance. Once enabled, it improves financial security by preventing unauthorised users from making changes through reversal or adjustment inputs and locking entries after posting.
All journal entries up until that point will be locked and unchangeable after a secure entry is made on a specific date. A reverse entry and then the correct accounting entry are needed to fix the problems with the secured entries. On that day, however, fresh accounting entries are permitted. The secure date automatically shifts to the previous date if any entries have been made before the secure entry date.
