Unlock the Power of Odoo with Cybrosys Mobile App
Planning your business-related activities in a coordinated manner helps you micromanage and utilize time efficiently. You can schedule and execute different actions for your customers or plan events with them in the Pipeline window. To access this feature, click on ‘My Pipeline’ under the Sales tab.
If the record does not have any event planned, you can see the clock icon in its Kanban view, as highlighted above. It will shift to the shape of a phone, email, etc., depending on the type of event it represents. You will get a dialog box when you click on the respective icon, as shown above. Then, click on ‘Schedule an Activity.’ The following pop-up window will appear.
This window shows the fields like Activity Type, Due Date, and Assigned to. You can also add a description in ‘Log a note.’ Fill in these details and click on ‘Schedule.’
The dropdown list of the Activity Type field mentioned in the previous section has different types of activities. You can configure these in the Activity Types window.
Go to Configuration → Activity Types.
This window shows all of the activity types already created in the system. You can see the details like Name, Default Summary, Planned in, Type (of delay), Model (of the activity), and Icon. Use the Filters and Group By options to locate the required data. The Favorites option allows you to save your important or recent filters for easy access.
You can click on the individual records to display their content in a detailed view. Besides, this window allows you to edit these details directly by clicking in their respective fields.
Use the Create button to add a new activity type to the list.
Assign a name for your activity in the Name field. Under ‘Activity Settings,’ define the fields like Action, Default User, Model, Default Summary, Icon, Decoration Type, and Default Note. You can choose between ‘Suggest Next Activity’ and ‘Trigger Next Activity’ in the Chaining Type field. The former allows you to initiate the next activity, while the latter automatically trigger it. Fill in the Suggest and Email templates fields. You can use ‘Schedule’ to set the duration after either the completion date or the previous activity deadline.
