Pricelists

Defining several sorts of pricelists for products is critical to running a profitable business. A corporation can develop a series of pricelists for specific clients for a specific period of time based on certain parameters. The pricelist will change depending on the regulations that are applied to them. A corporation can modify the prices of its products and services based on market demand or the season of sale. So, if you want to run a successful and profitable business, you must pay attention and develop an accurate approach when determining pricelists for your items.

Odoo 16 eCommerce includes a specific platform for creating numerous pricelists and discounts for products, which can be controlled through the Website module. Both of these modules are connected, allowing you to control all eCommerce-related activities in the Website module. To gain the platform to configure the pricelist in the Odoo Website module, first activate the Pricelists option under the Pricing tab of the Settings page, as shown below.

After enabling this the user can access the Pricelist from the Ecommerce menu of the website module as shown below.

There are two types of pricelist one is ‘Multiple Prices per Product’ and the ‘Advanced Price Rules’.

Multiple Prices per Product allow you to create pricelists with fixed prices for products, whereas advanced Price Rules allow you to create pricelists with complex price rules based on discounts and formulas.

The first option lets you establish different pricing for different categories of clients, such as registered customers, gold customers, regular customers, and so on. The second option lets you specify price change rules such as discounts, margins, rounding, and so on.

Using the Add a Line option on the Price Rules page, you can configure the products you want to include in this price list. If you want to apply this price rule to all products, leave the Products box blank. In the corresponding fields, enter the Minimum Quantity, Prices, Start Date, and End Date as shown below.

The Availability, Website, and Discounts fields, if enabled from the settings of the website module, can be defined under the Configuration tab. You can add Country Groups where this price list is accessible in the Availability area. The country group option is used to assign pricelist automatically when customer is being created. Therefore, the system will allocate automatically when the client's country is set on the customer, even if your salesman forgets to assign pricelist. Under the Website area, mention the Website and E-Commerce Promotional Code as shown in the image below.

Customers can select their appropriate pricelist from the drop-down box next to the search bar if you sell in various currencies and have pricelists in foreign currencies.
