In the CRM module, you can store the details of your customers, including their contact information. To access these saved contacts, click on the Customers option from the Sales menu.
You can see the Kanban view of the customer details in this window. Click on a record to edit or view its specifications. If you want to switch to a List view, click on its icon in the window's top right corner, as highlighted above.
The CRM module offers an efficient platform to define recurring revenues and plans on the opportunities configured in it. Select ‘Settings’ from the Configuration menu.
Check the box next to ‘Recurring Revenues’ as shown above. You can administer this feature using the Manage Recurring Plans button right below this option or by clicking on ‘Manage Recurring Plans’ from the dropdown list of the Configuration menu. This action will lead you to the following window.
All the pre-configured recurring plans appear in this window. You can individually edit each of these by simply clicking on them. Use the Create button to add a new plan to the list.
Add the required details to the Plan Name and Months fields and click on ‘Save.’
Now, go to the form view of any opportunity.
As indicated above, you can see the revenue split under ‘Expected Revenue.’ Decide a value and select the period from the dropdown list. Now, the order will be billed according to your conditions.
The Tags function helps to search and locate the records configured in the CRM module. Select the Tags menu from the Configuration tab’s dropdown list to access this feature.
All the pre-configured tags appear here. To edit individual tags, just click on them and continue editing the name or associated color. Click on the Create button to add a new tag to this list.
In the field highlighted above, give a name for the new tag and select its color. After adding these details, click on ‘Save.’
This feature enables you to find and solve the reason behind losing an opportunity. The Lost Reasons menu is available under the Configuration tab.
This window displays all the reasons configured in the system for losing opportunities. To add a new lost reason, click on ‘Create.’ A new line will appear in the window, as shown below.
You can enter the new reason in the field highlighted above.
While monitoring the dynamics of a lead/ opportunity, you can see the Won and Lost options in their form view. You can mark it as ‘Won' if it fails to qualify as a quotation. The following window appears.
You can select the lost reason from the dropdown list, as shown above. Click on ‘Submit,’ and you can see the Lost tag in the form view.
You can undo this action by clicking on the Restore button, which will take you to the original form view.
Now, we shall move on to some features in the Settings menu of Odoo 16 CRM.
