Post Close Reasons
Odoo 19 provides the Post Close Reasons feature to help moderators manage forum discussions effectively by defining standardized reasons for closing posts.
The Post Close Reason window displays a list of predefined closing reasons along with their corresponding Reason Type. Each reason represents a specific scenario under which a forum post may be closed, such as duplicate content, irrelevant discussions, spam, or offensive language. The Reason Type helps classify the nature of the closure, commonly distinguishing between Basic and Offensive reasons, which assists moderators in applying appropriate moderation actions.
To add a new closing reason, click the New button and enter a suitable Closing Reason, then select the appropriate Reason Type.
Once configured, these reasons become available to moderators while closing forum posts, ensuring that users are informed about why their posts have been closed. This structured approach improves moderation efficiency, maintains forum quality, and promotes a respectful and well-organized discussion environment.
The Forum Configuration features in Odoo 19 provide powerful tools for building an engaging and reward-driven community. In addition to forum management under the Website module, forums are also integrated with the eLearning module, allowing discussions to support learning activities. In Odoo 19, forums continue to be managed through the dedicated Forum module, offering a flexible and structured way to encourage user interaction and knowledge sharing.
