Ranks
The Ranks feature, available under the Configuration tab of the Odoo 19 Website, Forum module, helps you define different levels for forum members based on their participation and earned karma points. This system allows you to recognize and motivate users by assigning them ranks as they become more active on the platform.
The Ranks window provides a clear overview of all configured ranks. From this view, you can easily see the Rank Name, the number of users currently holding that rank, and the minimum karma points required to achieve it. Rankings are automatically determined based on the total karma points accumulated by users through forum activities such as posting questions, answering, or receiving upvotes.
To create a new rank, click the New button.
In the Rank Configuration form, you can define:
- Rank Name – the title assigned to users who reach this level
- Karma Requirement – the minimum number of karma points needed to unlock the rank
Under the Description tab, you can add a detailed explanation of the rank. The Motivational tab allows you to include an encouraging message or slogan to inspire users to work toward achieving that rank.
